Upbeat Music was founded in 2006 by Benjamin Comer to provide the best in musical education and performance.
In addition, Upbeat Music provides a wide variety of musical services including transcription, direction, and composition. 
BJ Comer - Trumpet Extraordinaire BJ Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University Kingsville in 2005 with a Bachelor of Music Degree. While studying in Kingsville with Dr. Jack Burt and Mr. Gary Leopold, BJ kept a busy schedule performing with the Corpus Christi Municipal Band, Corpus Christi Senior Orchestra (as a fill-in, since he joined the group at 17 and did not meet the age requirements by nearly half a century), and the Corpus Christi Wind Symphony. In Rochester BJ has performed regularly with numerous ensembles. These include the Genesee String Quartet, the Off-Monroe Players, the Greater Rochester Jazz Orchestra, the Music Makers Big Band, and local legend Fred Costello. Currently, BJ is rehearsing and performing with the Rochester Brass Quintet, the Pittsford Fire Department Band, the Rochester Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, and the salsa band - Grupo Calle Uno.
